A Simple 2 light beauty shot done with a bounce flash (9 foot white ceiling) in front and a background light behind and below the subject. A white 20x30" piece of foam core (The Wal-Mart reflector) is placed in front of the subject and just out of frame. Two fans (one on camera right behind and below the subject and one on camera left to the left of the subject - on the floor aimed up) created the movement in the material. A simple beauty shot done with DIY Fluorescent lights. 2 strips of 6 tubes each in the front - on either side of the camera. 2 strips of 2 tubes each slightly behind the subject used as rim lights to highlight the material and jawline. 1 strobe behind and below the subject aimed at a white wall. A one light beauty shot done with a single beauty dish placed above and to the right of the subject. A 24" x 30" piece of white foam core is placed in front of and below the subject to create a little fill on her neck and also a highlight in the eyes.
This is a 4 light studio shot with a medium softbox place above the model and a white reflector placed just out of frame below her face. Two orange gelled rim lights are at 45 degrees behind her, and a turquoise gelled background light is aimed at a matte black vinyl background. The texture was added to the image in post processing.
This beauty portrait was done with two DIY Fluoresecent lights as the main light source - one on either side of the camera lens. A strobe was placed low and behind the subject aimed at a white background.
